DEVELOPMENTAL KINDERGARTEN
The Developmental Kindergarten
program is a full day, five days a week, skill-building program designed to prepare
children for positive future school experiences. Children
who benefit from our Developmental Kindergarten are five years old but may need another
year to grow and mature before being placed in the traditional Kindergarten curriculum and
routine. The developmental program provides a
hands-on curriculum, offering an opportunity to meet various student skill levels. The small class size allows for individualized
attention to each child. The program
includes special classes, such as music, physical education and chapel. After completing one year in the Developmental
Kindergarten, the child will be prepared to enter our traditional Kindergarten program.
KINDERGARTEN
The Traditional Kindergarten program is designed to be the foundation
for each childs lifelong education. Each
child is respected and recognized as a unique individual. Students are taught that God is pleased when we respect ourselves and others
around us. Students growth is nurtured in physical, social and emotional
development. The Traditional Kindergarten program focuses on an academic environment
with the goals of mastering beginning phonics and reading skills. Students also
participate in chapel, music, library and physical education.
