I had always considered being a teacher but started college as a Pre-law major.  Eventually, God lead me to change my major and colleges; I attended Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny and then transferred to Simpson College in Indianola.  I majored in History and Secondary Education and graduated in May 2005.

I had several incredible experiences in classrooms in the public school while I was still in college and I felt that God was leading me to the public schools. I was becoming discouraged when opportunities were not becoming available.  When I heard about the opportunity at Ankeny Christian Academy I was unsure if it was what I wanted to do.

Thank God that He is wiser than I am!

I am now teaching History and Government for grades 7th-12th.  I am so excited to be a part of Ankeny Christian Academy as God molds it into the institution He has planned.
