I am thrilled and overwhelmed by how the Lord's hand has been evident in bringing me to ACA.  Being an Ankeny resident since 1992, I have watched ACA grow and be a great testimony to the community and surrounding areas as to the importance of a strong Christian education.  I am thrilled to serve the Lord as the Administrator of this school!

I committed my life to Jesus Christ at the age of seventeen in April of 1978. My life verse is Matthew 5:16 "Let your life so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven."  My prayer is that together, ACA can continue to be a light to Ankeny and the surrounding communities, sharing the love of Jesus Christ and being a bold testimony of Christian education.  

I have been in education since 1983.  I have taught kindergarten through college-aged learners. I have a background in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education. I graduated from UNI in 1983. My master's degree in Elementary Education along with Curriculum and Instruction was earned while we lived in Mankato, Minnesota. I have taught or been involved in Education Administration in 7 different school districts in Iowa and Minnesota.  I earned my Administrative Degree from Drake University.  

I have been married since 1983 to my wonderful husband, David.  He offices out of our home on the southeast side of Ankeny.  We have three sons: Grant, Taylor, and Seth. 

Our family attends First Family Church here in Ankeny. I am active in Bible study, Music, and Drama Ministries. I personally enjoy walking, scrap booking, baking, singing, acting, and serving others.  I look forward to serving you through Christ's love.  Together, I pray, the Lord will help us to seek Him as to the direction He wants to take Ankeny Christian Academy.
