AND COMPUTER My name is Angie Foster, and I am thankful that God has given me the opportunity to join ACA as the new Art and Technology teacher. I am excited to be a part of a school that wants to honor God in all they do, and raise up a new generation of labors who will run whole heartedly after God! I grew up in the small town of Adel, Iowa. At age 13, I went to a church summer camp where I heard for the first time about having Jesus Christ in my heart as my personal Lord and Savior. I will never forget that moment in my heart and mind when I fully understood the consequences of my sin and repented in my heart. My life has never been the same since. While in college I became greatly involved with the campus ministry group The Navigators. In The Navigators I was able to receive great training through various Bible studies and one-on-one discipleship. My husband, Ryan, and I have been married since 2003. We met each other in 4th grade and have gone to the same school together ever since. We both graduated in May 2004 from the University of Northern Iowa, where I received a double major in Art Education and Graphic Design. After college we both had a desire to serve God overseas in full time ministry. As a result we worked with The Navigators in Japan for two years doing youth ministry with elementary, junior high, high school, and college students. It was a wonderful experience to be stretched out of our comfort zones, learn and adopt a new culture, language, and lifestyle. One of my life verses and prayers is Ephesians 3:16-21, "I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge- that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." I am always amazed by the greatness and fullness of God and I am always so greatly encouraged to know that God's fullness is ever present in our own hearts and daily lives! |
