Mrs. Laura Santiamagro God blessed my life by giving me a very godly family. My daddy was a pastor until I was about 5 years old and I received Christ as my savior at the age of 4 because I knew that was what I needed to do to get to heaven. I was baptized by my dad about a year later. As the years went by I grew in what I understood and learned that my salvation was so much more than my ticket into heaven, although that is such a great part of the process! I began to grow and understand that it was a relationship. When I was in high school I had great mentors, my youth pastor and his wife. They really began to challenge me as to why I believed what I did and my faith really began to take shape as my own and not just what my parents had taught me. I committed my life to service to the Lord my junior year in high school and spent 4 years of college at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. God strengthened my relationship with him those four years and following college I got right into ministry at my church as well as in my job. I have spent the last 8 years working with children in some capacity and I am confident that is right where God has me to be. He has given me a great love for them and a desire to see them all grow to know the love and grace and joy that comes from knowing Jesus. God blessed my life and answered a prayer when he led me to my husband Matt. We relocated to Kelley, IA in June 2007 following our wedding. Through a number of situations God has led me to ACA and I am so blessed to be a part of the family! My favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11. |
