FOURTH/FIFTH GRADE Mrs. Kelly Appell
My name is Kelly Appell and I am the 4th/5th grade teacher here at ACA. I spent most of last year in the North Polk school district so I am very excited to be in a school where I can teach the Bible every day!
I grew up in an unsaved home and came to know the Lord as my Savior
due to the faithful witness of the children next door. When I was ten years
old I attended a Vacation Bible School where I heard the Gospel for the
first time and learned that there was a God who loved me. I accepted Christ
as my personal Savior on the last night of the club. My neighbors took my
sister and I to church for the next 7 years where we were discipled. I
attended Bible College and eventually graduated with a degree in Bible and
Counseling.
The Lord has provided many opportunities for my husband Breck and I
to be involved in Christian education and the desire to one day have my own
classroom grew. With my husband's encouragement I went back to school and
after student teaching here at ACA with Mrs. Shreves, I graduated with an
elementary education degree.
"That the next generation would know the laws of God, even the
children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then
they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would
keep his commandments."
