Social Studies

My name is Brad Ewest and I am excited to be a part of the Ankeny Christian Academy staff as the secondary social studies teacher. I have taught in the public school setting for the past 33 years, most recently 17 years at North Iowa Community School in Buffalo Center where I served as athletic director, social studies teacher and coach. I am now ready to begin a new chapter in my life at ACA. I was fortunate to grow up in a Christian home and experience the love of the Lord early in life. I was saved at the age of 12 and later recommitted my life to the Lord, being formally baptized in 1990.

My wife Barb and I have four children Katie, Joel, Mark and Laura. They all love the Lord and are a real blessing to us. Some of my favorite activities include spending time with family, woodworking, coaching and running in various events ranging from 5K to half marathons.

A Bible verse that is one of my favorites is: "In whatever you do, do it with your whole heart as working for the Lord, not men." Colossians 3:23
