“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.” – Eph 3:20-21
My name is Thomas Klein, and I have been blessed with the position of custodian here at ACA. I am currently a junior studying at Faith Baptist Bible College. Needing a job that works around my studies, this position is the way God has demonstrated His provision toward me once again; for this I am immensely grateful. My primary responsibility at ACA is for the secondary portion of the building.
I have spent all of my life in the Flathead Valley of northwestern Montana – probably the most beautiful place on earth. The small town of Columbia Falls, that I get to call home, sits half-an-hour west of Glacier National Park.
I had the privilege of growing up in a solid Christian home, surrounded by Christian family. My mom led me to Christ during the Christmas of 1994 at the age of four. Growing up in this environment and a good church, I accrued a great deal of Sunday School knowledge and Bible facts, but it was not until my Junior High years, when I entered youth group, that I began to really grow and develop a relationship with my Savior. It was a small mission trip that God used to awaken a real desire and acknowledgement of a need for a relationship with Him. From there I continued to grow in my faith and knowledge throughout my teen years with the guidance of my youth pastor and family. I became involved in various areas of ministry. The one I am most passionate about (and was most influential in bringing me where I am now) is counseling at Lake Blaine Baptist Bible Camp. In May of 2010 I was baptized and became a full member of First Baptist Church in Columbia Falls.
I began classes at the local community college (Flathead Valley Community College) during highschool, and I continued pursuing my Associates degree after graduating highschool early. I was introduced to computer programming at FVCC and became convinced that I wanted to enter the computer engineering field. About half-way through my education there, I realized I was chasing my own vision for my life and not God’s plan. Through great struggle, I finally surrendered to Him and a call into Youth Ministry. I completed my Associates degree, and then I transferred to FBBC in the fall of 2010.
That brings me to where I am now: continuing to pursue an Assistant Pastoral major with minor in Youth and Greek. I am amazed at what God has changed in my life and what He has taught me during my short time at Faith, and I can only wait to see where He leads from here.
