Development Director

My name is Jon Heisterkamp, and I will be serving at ACA as the Development Director. I have spent the last 6 years in management positions in varied industries. My wife, Heidi, and I spent 3 years living and working in Panama as support missionaries. There I managed all of the business and financial operations of our organization in 19 Latin American and Caribbean countries. I look forward to using those experiences in ministry here. We are so grateful to be a part of the ministry of Ankeny Christian Academy.

I grew up in a small rural town in Northwest Iowa, since then I have lived in three different states and two countries. God has blessed me with many opportunities to see how He loves His children all over the world and has a plan for us to love them too. I grew up knowing the Lord and was taught His ways. Through the study of God's Word and by the power of the Holy Spirit I am convicted of my sin and convinced of my need for a savior--Jesus Christ. My desire is to share that message with everyone I am allowed to cross paths with.

Heidi and I have lived in Ankeny for two and a half years. We have one son, Matthew, and a second boy on the way. We praise God for the blessings he has given us, especially the gift of family. We attend Prairie Ridge Church in Ankeny.

My life verse is Matthew 28:18-19: Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
