I Timothy 1:12 says "And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry." This verse means so much to me. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in first grade and am so excited that God has allowed me to fulfill that dream here at ACA.
In 1999, I came to Iowa from Louisburg, Kansas to attend Faith Baptist Bible College. I was married after my sophomore year of college. I had a wonderful student teaching experience here at ACA in First Grade under Linda Ellis. This is when I fell in love with the school and staff and knew that this was where I wanted to teach.
My first year after graduating from FBBC, I substitute taught for ACA and got to know the students and staff very well. In May of 2005, my husband Andrew and I had our first child, Nathaniel. We were very excited with his arrival.
I taught Kindergarten at ACA for two years. We then found out we were expecting another child. We were very excited to see our family growing. However, we did not know that God was expanding our family by more than just one, we were having twin girls. I was able to stay home with all three of our kids for the next year. After that year I felt that I was meant to return to serving the Lord through teaching at ACA.
I am very excited to be able to return to ACA, teaching the Developmental Kindergarten class. I am also excited that Nathaniel will be in the building with me, as he will be attending Preschool and Childcare here at ACA.
I am so thankful that God has placed me into the ACA ministry once again.
