First Grade Teacher

I grew up in a Christian household where I was taught solid biblical truths and church attendance was expected. At five years old I asked my mom how Jesus could be my friend and my mom gave me the Salvation Message, which I accepted. As I grew up, I enjoyed going to AWANA and Sunday School to learn more Bible stories and praise songs. During the summers I loved going to Trout Lake Camp: great speakers, fun activities, and beautiful nature all around were things Trout Lake guaranteed. One year at Trout Lake there was a speaker that talked about sin. I had heard what it was before, but this time it sunk in, and I really understood the whole Salvation Message. That year I rededicated my life to the Lord.

God has proven Himself faithful through out my whole life. He has been teaching me to trust Him in all situations. Since my “childhood days,” I have gone on many mission trips, continued personal devotions, and have tried to seek after God in the good and the difficult times. He has worked in each situation to keep me focused on Him. Leading me through some hard times where all I could do was trust His wisdom and goodness. He continues to guide me and work on my heart to make me more like Him.

I went to Northwestern College (MN) and majored in Elementary Education, as well as a second major in Bible, and minor in Pre-primary Education. I have been a substitute, after-school teacher, and a preschool teacher. I have been praying for a full time elementary position for a few years now, and I’m excited to be a part of ACA and to see how God works in our school.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you are hope and a future.”
