My name is Jessica Roozeboom, and I am the Office Assistant. I am thrilled to be here at Ankeny Christian Academy. We became a part of the ACA family in 2010 when God guided us to ACA for our oldest son, William to attend the DK program. I fell in love with the atmosphere and faculty here. What a delight it was to find this job at just the right time, God’s timing is impeccable. My husband, John and I have two boys, William is now in Kindergarten here at ACA and Grant is 3. We moved to Ankeny about 3 years ago from Cedar Rapids to be closer to our families in Pella, where we both grew up. We attend Bethany Reformed Church in Des Moines and continue to be in awe of the work God is doing in our lives.
I always felt a pull towards God while growing up and now know that God placed specific people in my life to help bring me to Him. The first person in my life to introduce me to God and a relationship with Jesus was my Grandmother, she took me to church with her often and most summers I would go to VBS at her little country church. As I got older God brought my future husband and his family into my life. They continually invited me to their church and encouraged my growth in the faith. When I went to college God gave me a Christian roommate. She introduced me to Christian music and through that music I learned so much more. During my time at college I prayed and asked Jesus into my heart. I am still learning everyday how much I need Jesus in my life and strive to live for Him.
A favorite verse: James 1:5-6. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
