Third Grade Teacher

I am so excited to be here and for the opportunities God has given me at ACA. God has blessed me in so many ways and I am so thankful to be teaching at a Christian school.

I grew up in a supportive Christian home and accepted Christ as my savior at a young age. My Christian schools in Sully and Pella, Iowa, helped me grow as a Christian through my younger years. After high school, I attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for my degree in elementary education. There I met my husband, Jared, and we were married in January 2006.

Following college graduation, I received a call to take a teaching position outside of Atlanta, Georgia. My husband and I packed up our tiny car and a 4x6 trailer and moved to Georgia. I enjoyed teaching third grade at a small Christian school for two years and then felt God calling us to move back home to be near family. Now we are back in Iowa and are enjoying living here. I am so blessed to be living out my passion for teaching at ACA.
