What are the school hours?

Is it too late to enroll?

We welcome new elementary and Jr. High student enrollments at any time. Parents of High School students should call the school at 515-965-8114 to inquire about the possibility of enrolling their child in during a school year. The four year old preschool program currently has no openings, and there are a few 3 year old preschool openings.

 

May I eat lunch with my child?

Yes! If you plan on eating a school lunch, the office needs to know by 8:30 am the day you plan to visit. The exception is Friday (pizza day) we need to know by 8:30 am on Thursday. If you plan to bring your own lunch when joining your child, let us know by 8:45 am the day you plan to visit.

Are there any job openings at ACA?

Ankeny Christian Academy has all the faculty and staff positions filled at the present time. We, however, welcome substitute teacher applications at any time. You will find an application in the employment section.

Who do I contact if my child has to arrive late or leave early?

Either call or email the office - 965-8114/office@ankenychristianacademy.com. Please inform us by 8:30 am the day of the appointment or earlier. We will inform the teachers of your child's absence.

What time is chapel? Are parents invited to attend?

Ankeny Christian Academy has chapel every Wednesday unless otherwise noted in our weekly newsletter. Elementary chapel begins at 10:30 am. Secondary chapel begins at 11:18 am. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend any of our chapel times.

When is the last day of school?

The last day of school was Thursday, June 3.

What do I do if my child is ill?

Either call or email the office - 965-8114/office@ankenychristianacademy.com. Please inform us by 8:30 am.

My child has lost something, where should I look for the lost item?

We have a lost and found located by the lunchroom on the west wall. It is a good idea to label your child's items especially in the younger grades.

Is Ankeny Christian Academy accredited?

Our school has full accreditation from the state of Iowa for 1st - 6th grades. Our 7th - 12th grades have college preparatory accreditation by the state of Iowa. We are pursuing accreditation for our Developemental Kindergarten and Kindergarten.

When is Christmas break?

Christmas break begins on December 18 with an 12:30 pm early dismissal that day. School resumes on Monday, January 4.

When is Spring Break?

Spring Break is Monday - Friday, March 15-19. Also, there is a 12:30 pm early dismissal on Friday, March 12.
