We are now in the final 8 days of school.  Please remind your child that grades go all the way to the last day.  We must preserver to the last day.  Substitute teacher Monday morning, as I will be visiting in Mrs. Ellis's Classroom.

Words from Mrs. Wiers

Math: 5th & 6th  We will touch on many things in the next few weeks.  multiplying fractions, introduce intergers, area and measurement.  We will have a mini test at the end of each week.

I can not stress the importance of practicing multiplication tables.  PLEASE have your children practice.  Even if they say they know them.  Many mistakes are being made on test due to lack of practice.Both 5th and 6th grade need to continue to work on their multiplication facts.  Please have them practice for 10 min. each night.

Science: 5th grade is doing a unit on Light.

   6th - Study of plants.

 Reading: In our room we will be reading  "Beyond the River" by Robert Elmer

Summer School Help.  I will be available one day per week this summer to help with math or reading. I charge $25 per hour.  Let me know if you would like me to work with your child.  I still have a few openings.  I will only tutor on Wednesday.   June 23,30 July 21,28, Aug 4,11,
