No Memory Verse or Spelling Words!
Please have your child bring 2 EXTRA plastic grocery bags on Wednesday, May 25. Students will be bringing all of their belongings home from school on Wednesday.
Book Orders - Please have book orders to me by Monday, May 23rd.
ACA Graduation on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
Kindergarten Graduation Thursday, May 26, 2011. We are not able to attend the Kindergarten Graduation this year due to limited space. However if you have a kindergartener who has a sibling in 2^nd grade they are allowed to attend with the parent. Please let me know if your child will be attending this ceremony with you.
Last Day of School – Thursday, May 26, 2011 with a 12:00 dismissal
Run/Walk for Christ presented by Ankeny Christian Academy will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 with the 5k starting at 9:00 AM and the 1 Mile Fun Walk starting at 10:00 AM. Teacher Talk

We've had a GREAT year! Be sure to keep your child reading through the summer! Also keep working on the addition and subtraction facts. Especially work on three and four digit addition/subtraction with regrouping. If you keep working on these concepts through the summer the transition into 3rd grade will be much easier! If you need some material to use with your son/daughter you can purchase a "Vacation Station" workbook from the office. There are website resources on my "Class Notes" website.

It has been a blessing and humbling to work with each of your children. God has taught me much through them and I pray He has taught them much through me. As I said at the beginning of the year: "God put each student in my classroom because I needed them and they needed me." Thank you so much for all of your support and prayers! Keep praying for Mr. A and myself as we embark on the new journey of parenthood and that God will give us wisdom for our future. Don't worry I'll be emailing a picture of our little girl when she arrives and revealing her name too :)!
