UPCOMING EVENTS:

Chapel Band Camp:  Check back for details coming soon as to whether or not this event will be held.

Summer Band Camp:  Concert band will start Monday June 14.

Band will meet Mon. & Wed. mornings from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m.  BAND IS FREE for those attending ACA in the fall and who have completed a minimum of one semester of concert band previously at any school.  Friends of ACA students may attend by completing a form in the office and paying a $50 participation fee to the ACA instrumental music department.

Summer Lessons:  I can teach at ACA or from my home on the NE side of Des Moines. Available on all band instruments or orchestra instruments, beginner-early intermediate piano, beginner and rhythm guitar (acoustic or electric), and electric bass (beginner). Fees for lessons are as follows:   

Students who will be enrolled in ACA band next year (entering 5th-12th grades) may take lessons for $5/half hour.  This rate is good for all instruments the student wishes to learn. No returning ACA band student will be turned down for lessons based on inability to pay.  Scholarship opportunities are available and confidentiality will be maintained.  See Heather Iverson for more information.

Students who will not be enrolled in ACA band may take lessons for $10/half hour. 

All lesson fees are payable to Heather Iverson. 

Volunteer Opportunities:

In need of help organizing and maintaining the band library.  Light work.  Possible to take some work home once trained.

Painting/Organizing new band room.  Details to come later this summer.

Garage sale in Sept. See Heather Iverson or Kati Anderson for details.

Assisting with various fundraisers throughout the school year.
