"Forward in Faith" Capital Campaign

Feasibility Study Results Are Back!            

                                                                       

Dear Staff, Parents and Friends,

The founders of Ankeny Christian Academy set a clear mission for the school—graduates will attain an excellent Christ-centered education and carry out the principles of the Great Commission. It was through the vision, prayer, and blessing of many individuals like you that the school stands where it is today. Now, several building phases later and with record enrollment numbers our facility is being stretched to its limit.

In May of last year, a feasibility study was conducted. The study will be used for future expansion and as a critical component of the board’s strategic plan toward furthering our mission. Results from the feasibility study were presented to the board in August. The survey demonstrated huge support for ACA and its future. Corfield Consulting Services wrote, “Parents are looking to continue the incredible Christian education their children are receiving at ACA. They want renovated facilities sooner rather than later and they are willing to pay for it. They also feel strongly about teachers’ salaries. They want to raise salaries to recruit/retain quality teachers.” Ninety percent of the participants noted the importance of renovating/expanding facilities and raising teachers’ salaries. Furthermore, 98% of participants approved of a capital campaign, 97% are willing to give (and only 3% said they did not know), and 88% said they were willing to volunteer. The majority of respondents believe that the constituents will respond favorably and 80% said a goal of $1.25 million over 3 years was realistic.

Finally, the feasibility study suggested individuals to make up the campaign leadership. The campaign team is being assembled and will begin meeting next week. If you would like to participate on the campaign team, please contact Jon Heisterkamp at Ankeny Christian Academy.

Our ultimate goal is to have a full campus on more land, and our immediate need is to begin paving the way toward that vision. We do that by optimizing our current facility which is strategically located in the center of Ankeny at the corner of two major arteries. We are enthusiastic about meeting our goal and moving forward to accomplish the mission God has for ACA.
